Invenergy, a leading renewable energy company, has announced its proposal to develop a 552 MW floating offshore wind project in A Coruña. Named ‘O Boi’, this project will be located between 45.7 and 60 kilometers off the coast, in an area identified by the central government as having high wind potential.

On May 17, the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) registered Invenergy’s request to draft a scope document for an eventual environmental impact study. Invenergy has submitted an Initial Project Document (DIP) outlining its preliminary interest and conceptual plans, which will be published during the Ministry’s consultation phase.

The ‘O Boi’ project is designed to produce around 15% of Galicia’s electricity demand, enough to power over 600,000 homes.

Invenergy is committed to local hiring and manufacturing, contributing to job creation and supporting the economic decarbonization of Spain and Europe.

At TotalHSE, we are proud to train workers in the wind sector, ensuring a highly skilled and specialized workforce. Our commitment is to provide the best training to drive the growth of renewable energy and ensure safety and efficiency in all aspects of the project.
