Electrical Risk in Wind Turbines
Our Electrical Risk course aims to provide knowledge about protection, safety, and safe operations in high and low voltage electrical installations.
Targeted towards technical professionals, the course covers concepts related to electrical circuits, electrical risks, basic operations in electrical circuits, and personal and collective protective equipment. Additionally, applicable regulations will be covered, and practical cases will be carried out.
Our course lasts for 6 hours, and the certification you will obtain from the course is valid for three years.
To take the course, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- be in good physical and mental condition
The course lasts 6 hours (one day) and is held at our training centers.
Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate valid for three years that allows you to work with electrical circuits.

Electrical Risk in Wind Turbines
Electrical Risk in Wind Turbines
Electrical risk is one of the most common hazards in the wind industry, and it is vital that workers understand the necessary precautions to ensure their safety. For this reason, our training program for the Electrical Safety in Wind Turbines course focuses on preparing students to understand the hazards and risks associated with electricity in the environment of wind turbines, as well as developing practical skills to reduce these risks.
In addition, the course also emphasizes the importance of correctly filling out a simple work permit, which is an essential document in the wind industry. Through our training program, students will learn to establish the safe working conditions necessary to perform any task involving electricity. Safety is a shared responsibility, and it is important that workers are trained to protect themselves and their colleagues while working in the wind sector.

Electrical Risk on Wind Turbines Advanced
Electrical Risk in Wind Turbines – Advanced
The Electrical Risk in Wind Turbines Course extends the basic training from 6 to 8 hours to tackle the real-world challenges faced by authorised and qualified technicians in wind farms. In this edition you will delve into:
-
Regulations and documentation management: practical application of Royal Decree 614/2001 and preparation of more comprehensive work permits.
-
Critical procedures: the 5 Golden Rules and LOTO applied to energised equipment, switching operations in transformer stations and substations.
-
Risk and protection: analysis of direct and indirect contacts, safety distances and selection of advanced PPE.
-
Professional measurements and verifications: safe use of instruments for continuity tests, earth resistance and protection-relay response.
-
Maintenance and reliability: effective earthing and preventive strategies that cut unplanned downtime.
Through case studies, simulations and guided practice you will consolidate the ability to plan, execute and document interventions without compromising the wind farm’s operational safety.
