Instructor Qualification Training
The IQT – Instructor Qualification Training standard is to equip the participant to instruct and train in accordance with adult learning principles for an adult target audience.
The IQT – Instructor Qualification Training course of GWO (Instructor Qualification) currently consists of two modules:
- Instructor Qualification Training Module (IQT): This module aims to train the participant to instruct and train according to adult learning principles. Upon completing this module, instructors will be capable of planning and conducting training safely, selecting appropriate learning activities and assessment tools, and applying effective teaching methods in the wind industry context.
- Instructor Qualification Crossover Training Module (IQTX): Aimed at experienced GWO instructors, this module focuses on updating their knowledge of the GWO Taxonomy Framework and adult learning principles. Participants will learn to apply these principles in their training delivery in the wind industry.
To take the course, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be in good physical and mental condition
The course lasts 72 hours (nine days) and is conducted at training centers accredited by GWO. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate with permanent validity, which allows you to work in any company that follows the GWO standard.

The course lasts for 22 hours (three days) and grants you a permanent official certification.
The Instructor Training Qualification Crossover module prepares you to:
- Plan and conduct training safely, select appropriate learning activities and assessment tools, and apply effective teaching methods in the context of the wind industry.
