Basic SG Blade Repair

The Basic Blade Repair SG (BR1) course is the official course aimed at wind industry personnel responsible for inspecting and repairing wind turbine blades. The objective of this course is to acquire the necessary skills, knowledge, and attitudes to carry out blade repair work safely, maintaining the structural integrity of the blades and respecting the aerodynamic principles. In this way, it is guaranteed that workers are trained to perform high-risk tasks safely and in compliance with risk prevention measures in the various repair tasks.

The Basic Blade Repair SG course focuses on the identification, control, and minimization of risks and hazards associated with the inspection and repair of wind turbine blades.

This introductory course is designed to provide students with the necessary skills for technical work required safely. It is divided into four blocks:

  • General safety.
  • Personal protective equipment.
  • General technical knowledge.
  • Technical practices.

Certification for this course is permanent.

To take the course, you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be in good physical and mental condition

The course lasts 15 hours (two days) and is held at our training centers.

Upon completion of the course, you will receive a permanent certificate that allows you to work at any wind installation.

Basic SG Blade Repair

The Basic Blade Repair SG (BR1) course provides you with the knowledge and skills to carry out blade repairs safely and efficiently.

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to perform and document a wind turbine blade inspection, execute repairs in accordance with a work instruction, and carry out maintenance operations including:

  • Repair of up to 1.5 m in length on the trailing edge.
  • Repair of up to 1.5 m in length on the leading edge.
  • Laminated repairs up to the core material.
  • Replacement of up to 200 cm2 of core material.
