IRATA Level 2 - Rope access for work at height
IRATA2 (35 h + exam)
Aim: In this course you will acquire the skills to tie working ropes, carry out rescues and perform work at height tasks supervised by an instructor. This course also includes legislation, mandatory safety regulations and equipment quality control processes.

1. ICOP – Code of Good Practices IRATA
2. TACS – Structure training IRATA system
3. Regulations and use of PPE
4. National legislation
5. Safety and prevention at heights
6. Theory exam (level 2)
1. All Level 1 manoeuvres
2. Review of PPE equipment
3. Rescue of victim during ascent
4. Victim rescue when switching the ropes
5. Rescue of victim in short fractionation
6. Rescue victim in diversion
7. Rescue victim on structures
8. Lift the victim with pulley system and auxiliary rope
9. Handling of loads, system cross loads and zip lines
10. Use of hoists
11. Complex rope installations
12. Installation of ropes with separate anchors, triangulations
13. Installation of lifelines
14. Appropriate choice in the use of rope protection

Duration:35 h + exam (5 days + 1 exam day)
Programme IRATA2:Theoretical content 1-6 and practical 1-14
Max. students:12 people per Edition
Prerequisites:· Older than 18 years-old
· Adequate physical fitness for the activity
· Possess a valid IRATA level 1 card
· Minimum 1 000 hours of experience in the IRATA book of hours
· Minimum 1 year of experience as level 1
